"Painting for me is a way to express feelings I cannot put words to, hopefully others will experience these same feelings when viewing my work.  I thank my Creator for this talent, and I look forward to sharing and encouraging others in creating art," she said.

Lycklama has studied under well known artist, including Jo Taylor.  She has garnered numerous awards for her work and is the winter artist of choice for four seasonal painting workshops sponsored by the Franklin County Arts Alliance in 2016.

There will be a workshop fee of $30 for the February class.  Participants may bring a sack lunch for the noon break, drinks will be available.  Register at franklincountyarts@gmail.com, call 903-305-8023, or come by the Cultural Arts Center (10-3) Fridays or the Frame Up Art Gallery during business hours.

The FCAA offers other creative opportunities for people interested in Culinary Arts, Music, and Social Media.  There is a weekly art class on Tuesdays with artist, Efton Edwards of Winnsboro and two fellowship groups, LAMADE, every Friday morning and Fellowship of the Brush on the 1st & 3rd Thursday evenings.
