The final workshop in our Summer Youth Workshop Series is Acting 101, instructed by Christian Galloway, on Saturday, August 10th (1pm-3pm).
Christian has a Master of Science in Theatre from Texas A & M University-Commerce. A few of her acting roles include: Bella from Neil Simon’s Lost In Yonkers, Sally in Clark Gesner’s musical, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Mrs. Betterton in April De Angelis’sPlayhouse Creatures. For her Master’s Thesis, she played the role of Eleanor in James Goodman’s The Lion In Winter. According to Christian, “This workshop is going to center around acting basics.” She looks forward to working with the youth in our community.
The workshop will be located at the Cultural Arts Center, 100 Rusk St., Mt. Vernon, one block west of the Courthouse. Once again, these workshops are FREE to participants, paid for, in part by the St. Clair Endowment, through the Franklin County Historical Association.
